It is the name used to the describe the second generation of the world wide web (www), where it moved static HTML pages to a more interactive and dynamic web experience. Web 2.0 is focused on the ability for people to collaborate and share information online through social media, blogging and Web-based communities.

Web 2.0signaled a change in which the World Wide Web become an interactive experience between users and Web publishers. Web 2.0 also represents a more populist and famous version of the Web, where new tools made it possible for nearly anyone to contribute of their technical knowledge.

Web 3.0 is the executable phrase of World Wide Web with dynamic applications, interactive services and machine to machine interaction. It is a semantic web which refers to the future. In Web 3.0 computers can interpret information like humans and intelligently generate and distribute useful content tailored to the needs of users.
